This story begins 15 years ago when I read a simple quote “Something from Nothing”, though it sounds plain, it resonated with me. Whenever I begin a creative project and am stuck on an idea, I always turn to the quote “something from nothing” creating “something” from essentially nothing. Taking something that someone would overlook, getting that perfect angle, bringing out its inner beauty and visualizing the result. My vision and passion for photography is founded on the same principal by taking ordinary landscapes, local places, and everyday people and transforming them into something extraordinary through the lens.
My journey began shooting landscapes and landmarks through my various travels growing up, always envisioning something more than there is to every landscape, every building, every street. Over the recent years I got to experience shooting individuals, everyday people telling me their stories, their experiences and unique perspectives that I wanted to show in a single snap shot. Creating an array of emotions, connections and feelings through one photo.
